The official French proficiency test for Canadian immigration
The Test d'Évaluation de Français (TEF Canada) is a standardized French language proficiency test recognized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). It is required for Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Programs, and Canadian citizenship applications.
TEF Canada evaluates your skills across four components. Each is scored independently and you may register for only the components required for your application.

Pre-register Online

Choose Your Date
Select your preferred exam session and the components you need. Complete your pre-registration.
Complete Payment
Our team will send you a payment request. Pay via Interac e-Transfer to confirm your registration.
Receive Convocation
Once payment is confirmed, you receive your official exam convocation. Present it on exam day.

Once an Interac payment is received, no refund is possible under any circumstances.
Date Change
If you cancel, you may choose another exam date within 6 months of the original date.
Valid ID Required
You must present a valid government-issued photo ID on exam day. No exceptions.
Convocation Required
You will not be admitted without your official convocation letter.
Arrive Early
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled exam time.
